Once dinner was ready to be served, Kang-Dae took his place at the head of the table and his mother sat to his right. Once they were seated everyone else did the same. Advisor Min sat at his left followed by Yoon. Across from him right by his mother was Lady Gi. He inwardly winced in sympathy for her. The rest of the council filled the seats along with high members of the court. Kang-Dae looked over to the secondary table which was placed further from the main table and sat crossways. He spotted Serenity immediately. Though outwardly she appeared fully collected and confident he could tell she was nervous just from her eyes. He watched as she took bits of fish with her chopsticks and ate. He felt a sense of pride at the speed at which she had been able to master them. Not wanting to give the council or anyone else cause to fret he took his eyes off of her and focused on his meal.
